breakfast, tart, batik, Wes

* "I fed the dogs."
   "I fed the dogs."
And I giggle periodically throughout the day. They thought nothing odd about    getting two breakfasts--did not even tell us.."Errr, guys you fed us already."

* The tartness, almost bitter, of icy cold lemon Italian soda.

* When the light begins to come through the upper six panes of my window the tree limbs create a batik against the light blue sky.

* The lights dim. We sit exposed to interminable, dreadful ads and reminders to turn off our cell phones...........then brilliance, clever dialogue, vibrant colors. Wes Anderson=ahhhhh!!

black ball, breath, marvel

* The little black ball of fur is sleeping still on the sofa opposite when I peek open my eyes. Unusual, because he wakes me. I watch him sleep until he cracks open an eye to look over at me. We lie in our cosy warmth gazing at one another.

* My breath is visible when I stand on the deck watching the dogs cavort (how can they be so alive this early?) and I am comforted by the knowledge of the day's warmth to come.

* To gaze at a poster of an artist's work and marvel at his abilities and sensitivities although I totally disagree with his politics.

arrival, thump, aroma

* the news of Bettany's safe arrival.

* the thump of water hitting the huge zucchini leaves

* the aroma of chicken soup when I return

*Packing for another trip to sunshine. *Successfully sewing together curious pieces of cloth to form a garment. *Scrambled eggs and toast as the sun sinks and the cold creeps into the house.

refuge, revive, renovate

*While puttering in the kitchen, I happen to look down at my feet and see the puppies taking refuge around my ankles. R is rattling their fence in the dining area, rearranging it. *To sprinkle water on a wilting plant and see it revive. *My master plan is coming together.

Tidy,opening,parameters

*When I was wheeled into the operating room and saw the sharp instruments laid out tidily I thought "Wow!Just like that tumbir 'things organized neatly'" *Sitting at the kitchen table I see the pink and blue of the sunset through an opening in the trees. *The sun generated lights in the backyard turn on one by one until I can envision the parameters of our space.

cling, mundane, balance

*Water clings to the shiny needles of the new pinon pine after I give it a sunrise shower. *Returning to mundane, tidy-up chores. *The town is still dark when the dogs wake us barking, barking.Shadows of four possums balance walking on the top of the fence explain.
